On The Other Side With Art Brown is a dynamic platform exploring the harmonies, melodies, tempos and improvisational dynamics of this music.
On The Other Side presents exceptional musical selections underscoring Jazz as an extraordinary, inspiring, enduring and evolving art form that uniquely interprets the human experience.
On the Other Side will also offer thoughtful and thought-provoking insights from host - Art Brown.

                               Hello - and Welcome !

. . . . BACK TO THE FUTURE WITH AMERICAN CLASSICAL MUSIC

The Artwork shown above is from the album cover EL MATADOR by Kenny Dorham, which features the Jackie McLean tune, "Melanie".  Inspired by the energy of McLean's daughter Melanie, this song reflects a thoughtful, dynamic and bold compositional approach.

While all versions of  "Melanie" offer unique ideas that reflect the original elements of the song, in the view of many listeners, the Dorham rendition of "Melanie" is the defining version.
